Three birthdays!

Today we're celebrating the birthdays of three special people. Patti, (James' Mom) Barry (James' Dad) and Kathy (James' stepmom)! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
We love you all very much!

After months of running after Sasha to steal hugs and kisses, she now is giving US hugs and kisses! (for the most part)
It's the sweetest thing. Here, Caroline tried to capture a few shots of it, but Sasha kept getting distracted by the camera.. Not mommy though...I hung on to her for as long as I could! : )

Balloon Fiesta!

This morning we got up around 5 a.m. to make it on time for the mass ascension (they ask people to get there early in order to accomodate the possible 100 thousand people that show up!)
It was a cold, but beautiful morning, the sunrise was spectacular!
Sasha fell asleep in the sling and woke up just in time to see the balloons get ready, glow and lift off. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the cool balloons with the different shapes, but it was still really awesome. Pat and Patti joined us and we had a great time! : )

Every year in October, Albuquerque is host to the International Balloon Fiesta! People come from all over to show off their hot air balloons. This morning we stepped outside and there were lots of them flying right over our house. Sasha was fascinated by them. We stood out there for a while as people waved at us from the balloons. Sasha would wave back and she did a lot of pointing (she is just learning how) and with the pointing comes "ba?" - She says "ba" to everything. : )
We'll be going to the balloon fiesta park to see the mass ascension next weekend, so we'll get lots of cool pics!
