Farewell... :(

On my last night in Costa Rica my Mom made a delicious "arroz con pollo", some friends came over to bid me farewell, and we had a wonderful evening! In the picture is my Dad, Nilesh, Flor, Greg, Bahi and my sister, Jaleh.

These are my wonderful friends Bahiyyih and Greg. They live in Idaho but were in Costa Rica for a wedding. I'm so glad I got to see you on my last day in CR!! They promised to come visit us in Albuquerque. : )

lunch with a friend and then Feast

An old friend from school, Melania. We went out for lunch and had delicious "casados" - a typical Costa Rican meal. : ) It was great to see her and catch up on each other's lives. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!

Next we got ready to go to our Baha'i Feast. In this picture Sasha was all dressed up and ready!

At feast with my good friend, Margie.

Some of the wonderful baha'i youth from the community.

outside with the kitty : )

Sasha is really eager to move around. This position is one that she gets into very often now and inches along the floor this way. I think she'll be crawling soon!

La Paz Waterfalls

We went to La Paz waterfalls today.
As usual, my Dad's blog has more details and pics!
Here are a few of mine. My Dad held Sasha for a while and used the front pack as a backpack! It worked quite well.

This picture didn't capture a big blue Morpho butterfly that had landed on Sasha's head. Because of the delay all you can see is the morpho flying away to the left!

These last two were taken another day. This first one is with my good friend Roya when we went to her house for a visit.

Here is Jaleh with naked Sasha! : )

POSTED BY JAMES: More mountian pics

Here's some more pics of the beautiful Needles Mountians in Colorado, and a picture of the group after finishiing our first project on "Dress up" night.

POSTED BY JAMES: Weeks 4 and 5 of field camp

Here's pictures from the Needle Mountains in Colorado. We spent the last two weeks at or above 10,000 feet, it even snowed on us a few times. We saw bighorn sheep and moose, and lots of cool rocks. There's a picture of me and Greg and Eric hacky-sacking at 13,160 feet, and a picture of me modeling the "awesome" sweater that I got at the thrift shop to wear on dress up night, you can tell I'm about ready for the country club. The picture with thle lake shows the 3 snow fields we glissaded (slid on our butts) down. One more week to go, tomorrow we leave for the Grand Canyon to float down the Colorado!! See you all next week.

For now...

I know I said I would post every day, but it's been hard to find the time! I'm taking advantage of my free time to do my math homework, but I need my math wiz husband to help me! *James I need you!* :(
But for now here are a couple of pics. The first one is of Sasha in her cute outfit that makes her look like a berry, and in the other one Gramma is making her laugh! : )
